Even out here in the piedmont, we are a part of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, so it is important that we do our part to keep Virginia waterways and the largest estuary in the United States healthy. This year the event will last from Monday, May 31st through Saturday June 5th. To register for the event and receive the information you need to make a difference, go to: https://www.cbf.org/events/clean-the-bay-day/index.html
Not sure what a watershed is? Join a ranger on the trail to get a good look at how the park’s watershed works and fits into the big picture by registering for the Welcome to the Watershed program at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday June 5, 2021. This walk will be about one mile over moderate terrain and last about 60 minutes. The program is limited to 25 people. Please register at the park office ***Location Detail: Various locations in Virginia
