In honor of Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day, the park will offer two ranger-led programs. At 10 a.m. a walk and talk called The Big Idea will tell the story of the park’s creation in the 1930s along with the rejuvenation of the surrounding forest.

At 1 p.m. find out Then What Happened. Hear the story of humble and historic Cumberland County and its role in the making of the United States. You might be impressed by the people you’ll meet. Meet at the Legacy Wayside.
Both programs are limited to 10 people in order to allow social distancing and will adhere to the current Virginia COVID-19 guidelines as seen on http://www.virginia.gov/coronavirus.
