The Avalanche Mountain Preserve comprises 300 plus acres of woodland located on the southern border of Boyne City. The area is a predominantly sloping terrain with approximately 90% of the park wooded. The area offers many types of recreational activities including hiking, biking, skiing, skating, jogging and snowmobiling and the newest additions, an archery range and disc golf.
