A – mile ADA trail is adjacent to parking. A 2 mile natural surface trail explores the several ecosystems that make up the escarpment embayments and the upland meadow that overlooks Joe Pool Lake.

Please note that the “social” trails are not a part of this trail system. I saw where an Eagle Scout put up some blockage of the scramble to the top of the escarpment. This is perfect! There is a private landowner at the top of that scramble which equals trespassing. Don’t be rude–stay on designated trails, protect the preserve. If you want views, go the nature center next door…they have several nice overlooks that are part of the trail.
