With 115 acres, Cedar Point is one of Charlotte County’s unique parks with pine flatwoods, salt marsh, mangrove fringe and hammock areas. Situated on Lemon Bay, a long, narrow estuary, Cedar Point is a great place to see beautiful wading birds that visit the mangrove fringe and adjacent seagrasses. The pine flatwoods are home a pair of bald eagles, as well as gopher tortoises and a myriad of native plants. For Nature Walk reservations, please call Cedar Point Environmental Park at 941-475-0769. The Visitors Center is managed by Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center and is free and open to the public.
