The Chattahoochee Nature Center is located along the Chattahoochee River on Willeo Rd. in Roswell. The Center is a steward of more than 127 acres of river marsh, freshwater ponds, and wooded uplands. The Center operates as a community-supported, non-profit environmental education facility, and offers a wide variety of fun and educational programs for families and children. Our most popular and regular events include Animal Encounters, Family Canoe Days, Family Campouts, Guided Nature Walks, Weekend Specials, and so much more. More than a museum or science center, the New Discovery Center is a portal of information to the Chattahoochee River Watershed. The new Discovery Center goes one step beyond interpreting the watershed, we immerse you in it. From the Forests to the wetlands to the river, visitors discover what makes the Chattahoochee River Watershed so unique. More importantly, the new center helps visitors find their way to more adventures and ultimately how to become a part of this amazing environment.
