Leon Brooks Hines in Escambia County is a beautiful 184 acre state fishing lake in the Conecuh National Forest.
Everyone is welcome to the use of the grounds, pavilion, and grills free of charge so come out and read, birdwatch, or enjoy a family event here!
A fishing license and a daily permit are needed to fish. There is a boat ramp and a fishing pier as well as picnic tables and grills. Come in to Doug & Allie’s Fishing Post for your daily launch and fishing permits, a state lakes fishing license, boat rental, snacks, ice, tackle, and live bait.
Creel limits:
Largemouth Bass- (1)over 14”, (10) 14” or less
Bream- 20
Crappie- 30
Catfish- 6
All fish must be presented to manager for weight data. No fee, but required.
