The Nature Center is part of a 100-acre nature preserve with riparian and oak woodlands, shrub lands, meadows, and aquatic habitats. The trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. Many varieties of animal species live in or use the nature preserve and the Ancil Hoffman Park. The Nature Center Building with exhibits, information, live animals and the book and gift store is open Tuesdays-Saturdays (generally 9am-4pm). Closed on Mondays, but open on Mondays that are public holidays, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Hours of operation can change, especially in stormy weather.
