At 231 acres, Gallant Woods Park is the largest park in the Preservation Parks of Delaware County System. Restored wetlands are the signature feature of the park, which was formerly part of a family farm. The wetlands attract shorebirds, such as snipes and woodcocks, along with migrating shorebirds, such as dowichers and yellowlegs. A display pavilion emphasizes the importance of wetlands, and explains the process that converted old farm fields into wetlands. The park also contains sections of prairie and two woodlots, a reservable picnic shelter and playground, and a sledding hill.
