The Forest is located in the town of Scott in Cortland County, just off of State Highway 41 on Hewitt Road. Hewitt State Forest is a popular area for recreational activities such as: hunting, hiking, fishing, bird watching, camping, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, trapping, and snowshoeing.
