Nature Center: Birding, Hike, Picnic, Walk
Visitors who drop by for a leisure hike will discover a natural Florida forest with three distinct woodland habitats: wetlands, hardwood hammock and upland pine forest. A boardwalk across a small wetland leads to a half-mile trail loop. Named to commemorate Homer Powell, the Nature Center is an air-conditioned rustic facility for conducting environmental education sessions by local groups. Several picnic tables with a grill are located in an open grassy area nearby.
