At the Iron Hill Museum and Science Center, the visitors get to experience the natural world that’s all around them! The permanent museum exhibits include rock and mineral specimens from the local region as well as around the world, a please touch wall, fossils, taxidermy birds and mammals, artifacts from local prehistoric cultures, and historical representation of local history including the miners that once worked on the hill and the African American one room schoolhouse located on site.
Iron Hill Science Center also offers a multitude of programs including summer camps, homeschool classes, scout merit badges, field trips, and much more! Check out the website to see what’s happening or contact the science center to book your own program.
