Lake McMurtry is managed by the non-profit organization Lake McMurtry Friends. This quiet, family-friendly lake offers camping, swimming, fishing, boating, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, waterfowl hunting and bird watching. Group facilities, picnic areas, outdoor grills, fire rings and restrooms are on-site, as well as an RV dump station, fishing dock and boat ramp. Campgrounds at Lake McMurtry include RV campsites, tent campsites and many primitive sites. A total of 16 RV sites feature water and electric hookups and 12 tent sites feature city water.
