Arboretum: Hike, Science, Walk
The Arboretum, home to over 3,000 kinds of plants from around the world, is a fifty acre living museum with outdoor and indoor classrooms. Situated on the south side of Milledgeville, the Arboretum has hiking and driving trails throughout the property along with tropical and desert greenhouses. The Arboretum offers customized field studies for school groups of all ages focusing on horticulture, geology, life science and environmental studies correlated with the Georgia Performance Standards.
