State Park: Birding, Camp, Fish, Hike, Picnic, RV, Walk, Water Sports
A haven for outdoor lovers who look for variety in their vacations. Just 18 miles northeast of Mankato on US Hwy. 14, Lovewell offers a blend of camping, fishing, wildlife watching and special events. Start your park exploration with the full-service area office and interpretive center at the park’s entrance, next step out onto the wildlife habitat overlook, then explore the park on your own. The area office sells all of the required park permits as well as hunting and fishing licenses, boat registrations, and big game permis. Daily vehicle and camping permits are also available 24 hours from the self-pay station near the office. Don’t forget to check out the Kansas Outdoor Store for the great selection of Wildlife and Parks T-shirts, hats and other souvenirs.
