Merck Forest and Farmland Center (MFFC) is a nonprofit educational organization with a mission to teach and demonstrate the benefits of innovative, sustainable management of forest and farmland. Our seasonal school programs, apprenticeships and workshops afford visitors rich experiences in a working landscape.
MFFC’s 3,162 acres includes a 3,100 acre managed forest, a certified-organic sugaring operation and a 62-acre farm; we have eight rustic cabins, lean-to sites, and over thirty miles of trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding.
The Center is open free to the public year-round, 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. MFFC is community-supported through donations, membership fees, cabin rentals and sales of farm and forest products.
