Nestled between the Schuylkill River to the south and the City of Reading to the north lies the natural oasis of Neversink Mountain. The Neversink Mountain Preserve and Community Forest encompasses 1,065 acres of interior forest, shrublands, and seeping headwater creeks, providing shelter to a diversity of birds, butterflies, and moths. Extensive hiking and biking trails throughout the preserve provide breathtaking vistas, the most popular of which are the City Overlook and McIlvain Pavilion.
