Park: Bike, Fish, Hike, Picnic, Walk
The park has an enchanting variety of facilities. Don’t be fooled by the sagebrush and dusty trail on the north side of the park. There are mysteries to explore and discoveries to be made in the wetland habitat. Home of the annual Great Reno Balloon races, the wide open expanses of Rancho are very popular with Reno locals and visitors alike. Rancho San Rafael Park covers almost 600 acres of manicured turf and natural desert and wetland habitat. The park provides a setting for group and family picnics and has three covered picnic areas available for reservation. The completely restored Ranch House may also be reserved and offers a professionally equipped kitchen and wet bar. Two rooms open onto a secluded courtyard adjacent to the arboretum. In addition to the May Center, the park offers a variety of unique attractions.
