Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home was given to Whatcom County Parks and Recreation Department in 1971 by Mrs. Donald Keyes to be used as a community cultural arts and social center. Through the Cultural Arts Program the facility offers a full range of arts and crafts classes for adults and children, provides lectures, concerts, gallery exhibits, and an arts and craft show in December. Program brochures are available in January, March, May, and September.
