Egyptian fruit bats were introduced to Rosamond Gifford Zoo visitors in a newly renovated bat exhibit. These new Egyptian fruit bats, all female, were transferred from the Cincinnati Zoo. These bats underwent extensive testing and spent one month in quarantine at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, which is the routine procedure for all animals being introduced to the collection.
