The Preserve contains over 5,000 acres and stretches more than 10 miles from Ft. Pierce to Jensen Beach. It encompasses parts of the Atlantic Coastal Ridge, savanna-like wetlands and pine flatwoods. The preserve is the largest freshwater marsh system along the southeast coast of Florida.
