Sundown is a BIG exciting mountain resort just west of Dubuque, Iowa. Only two of 78 resorts South of Duluth and West of Lake Michigan have more vertical. The height and 5 chairlifts make our lift lines short and give you more time on the slopes. There are 3 separated areas: SKIwee for kids, the Learning Area and the Terrain Park (which was the first Half-Pipe to open the last 3 seasons). Two rustic mountain top lodges have great food and over 100 yards of windows that overlook hundreds of miles of countryside. You will find great Midwest hospitality and the unexpected – free timed racing a free ski corral at the north lodge, preset group rentals (to get on the slopes in minutes), and many low cost high value packages.
