Nature Center: Nature Education, Science, Walk
This environmental educational center, a branch of the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation department, is in a new location on the first floor of the Miller Center. The Nature Zone is designed to be hands-on for everyone, from toddlers to teens, so bring the whole family with you. We’ve got live animals (snakes, toads, flying squirrels, turtles, an iguana and an opossum) for you to visit. We also have a large collection of animal skulls and bones, snake skins, animal pelts, stuffed animals, an insect collection and lots of books and pamphlets with information about the natural world around us.
