Nestled in dense stands of saguaros and ironwood trees, on the western slope of the Tucson Mountains, the Desert Discovery Center offers a remote retreat setting with spectacular views of the Altar Valley and surrounding mountains. The classroom and nature trails at the center are open during the educational workshops and events hosted by Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation and community partners.
